Anything that is not pornographic/illegal/extremely violent/racist/cursing too much is generally always allowed. If it falls in any of these categories its not allowed, im sure you can think of something.

Google adsense is good for sites with lots of good and original content focused on a certain topic.

There is no definite template whereby once you put everything in place, you get good results with Google Adsense. A lot of testing like colors, placements are necessary.

You can hop over to Google Adsense Success story to study on some of the sites:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/Success.html

or if you want to learn more about and how to profit from Adsense, you can visit Joel Comm’s Google Adsense Secrets, this is one good ebook that I learn much from on Adsense.

Adsense is intended for sites that have good, original and interesting content. The kind of thing that people will find on search engines, and want to read.

It’s not for link farms, or sites with copied content, or sites with just pictures, or sites with almost no text content, or sites about making money online. You won’t get accepted if you try to make a site just for Adsense.

However, if you can write well about a topic – any topic! – and start by writing four or five pages, then you may find you get accepted. If you want to make a blog, the topic might be your local town, or your vacations, or discussions of movies you have watched, or thoughts about life and the universe, or comments on your job, or anecdotes about your children.

If you make a site, you could write about some skill you have, or a hobby, or something that interests you, or more in depth about your town or country… anything, so long as its YOUR writing, and you can keep on writing new articles regularly. It’s important to find a way of writing that isn’t already covered, since Google want sites that actually add something of value to the Internet – not those which just repeat the same stuff over and over.
