For branding purposes you will want your domain name to be as close to your business or personal or product name as possible, short, and easy to remember. For example, my URL is NatalieHale.com. It’s short and easy to remember.

Further, only letters numbers and hyphens are allowed when purchasing a domain name and the limit is 63 characters.

67 characters long including the top level domain (4 characters – .com, .net, .biz)
The characters you can use for the domain name are letters, numbers, hypens. The special characters such as exclamation, underscore cannot be used.
