I have a blog on blogger.com, how long does it usually take to get approved by google for monetizing it? Is there a minumum time frame like 6 months or something.

I myself own many blogs. The minimum time for the adsense request to get approved is 48 hours. The maximum time can be 2 weeks. One request of one of my blogs took exact 2 weeks, so you shouldn’t worry that much. Hopefully your request will be approved.

I find that it is usually less than 3 hours also, although if you have questionable content on your page (i.e. something that could potentially relate to anything adult or other banned topics), then it may take longer or may not be approved at all for that page if they find that you are violating the TOS agreement for Google Adsense. Google strictly prohibits ads on sites with prohibited content, so if you have anything like that at all, you might want to either remove it, or consider using ads for a more “open minded content friendly” ad program.

It truly varies. The answer above says 48 hours minimum but I had my account approved in under 3 hours.
Once you get your account and when you post on your blog you can post your links to She Told Me and make even more money though adsence. This website is a lot like Digg and Buzz but if you submit your adsence ID you can earn even more money from people visiting your book mark and clicking on ads as well as getting traffic to your website with more targeted ads.
It’s still a new website but they are legit because you get paid though adsense. If you start posting your links there now you will be one of the big guys later on when the site becomes just as popular as Digg and Buzz. It takes just a few moments to post links after you create your account and it’s great for getting he word out.http://shetoldme.com/referral/7368680a

As long as your blog is pretty generic, no nudity or anything offensive, it usually takes a day. Once you have an adsense account, they don’t even check. Here’s one of my blogs: http://writingmovie.blogspot.com/

Once you get approved, you can put it on any website or blog without further approval.
