In one year and average traffic of 200-300 a month, I made a little over $1.80. From the ads Google displayed on my site, which is no longer running as it was not worth it, Google probably made over 20-30 times that amount.

Yes, you can make money through adsense but you need traffic a lot of them in order to make money.
