Here is some truth:
Yes, you can make money from Adsense. Sometimes you can even make a LOT of money from Adsense. But, most websites actually generate very little. Here is why:
You need very heavy traffic to profit from Adsense. We are talking, hundreds of thousands of page views per day. Remember that only a very small percentage of viewers actually click on an Ad. And each click, often only pays you about $0.01 to $0.10. It takes a whole lot of clicks to build up any decent amount of money.
Don’t try to trick google and click your own ads, or ask others to do it for you. Google is super smart and will pick up on that very quickly and ban you for life.
That being said – adding Google Adsense to your site is pretty easy, but you must have file access to your site.
You would need to log into your Adense account and follow their step by step instructions to create your ad zone. At the very end, you will copy the bit of code that it has created and paste it into your web pages
You will need some sort of file editor, like DreamWeaver, or FrontPage. There are also tons of free ftp file editors available too.
Example:
1) Log into file editor
2) Edit index.htm (or it may be called index.html, or index.php . . ) Index is your home page.
Look for the following bit of code
Enter your goolge adsense code just below the body tag
3) save your file and republish it to your server.
WA LA – your adsense should show in a few minutes at the very top of your index page.
Play around with the positioning.
You can center your Adsense by doing this:
Warning: ALWAYS make a back up of your file BEFORE you edit it. That way you can quickly go back to the previous version if you make any mistakes. It is very easy to mess up your whole page with one little mistake, when editing your files.
