Since you are neither a US citizen nor a US resident, the US has no tax claim in this income. You don’t need a US tax ID, nor are you eligible to receive one. The only country that can tax this income is your home country and/or the country where you reside.

(Disclaimer: I am not an attorney or a tax specialist, this is just my own uninformed opinion)
The US should not have any basis to tax you since you are not a citizen, resident or visitor of the United States of America. I have no idea what the tax situation in India would be, but India and your local government should be the only taxing authorities you should have to worry about or deal with.
