How Long After Starting A Website Can You Use Google Adsense?

I heard they recently made it 6 months. Is this correct?

    you can apply for an Adsense straight away, but you will most likely get you application rejected.
    better to wait until you have at least 30 decent content pages and a steady flow of traffic, as unless you have these you would not be making any money even if you were accepted by adsense
