It all depends on how competitive your keywords are. Generally, you will see about $0.01 to $0.10 per click. I have had them as high as $2.62 for a click, though.
So, in concept, the trick is to get as much traffic through your site as possible. That way, the ads will be exposed to a large number of people, generating lots of opportunities for someone to be interested in an ad enough to click on it.

You earn money by displaying Google ads on your website. The amount per click varies depend on location of click, advertiser, validity of click and many other factors. Sometime if it’s not a valid click means fake click, then you will get nothing. Sometimes 0.01$ and some times say 2$ per click.

Everything depends on how much advertiser paid for that keyword. So if you have a site about free “something”, you will get less for click, than you would get for a site about selling cars or something.

it depends on your site content and the keywords you are targeting. For example forex words pay up to 15-20 USD per click.
The easiest way to see how much particular keyword will pay is to use your adwords account and check keywords
