It would more likely be a supplement. To make significant money from Adsense you have to have a website that gets a very large number of hits regularly.

yes it can. but its not like you just make your website, put google adsense up, and then expect to make money. you really have to work hard to make your website known.

to be honest not hard but not worth it. The cost of adverising with them is greater than what you earn. I used the Adsense and Adwords together and I started to make money but I was paying more than what I was making with advertising. adsense is hard to make a living from unless you work your butt off making a popular, quality website that gets at least 10000 impressions per day. You could also work your butt off learning black hat (underhanded) methods of getting ad clicks, but then google will ban you.

Yes it can, in fact many people make their living off of making websites and posting ad’s on them (adsense.) If i didn’t have to pay for my school i would be able to quit my job and just work online. This is the article that helped me get started, you just need to work at it hard enough and take it seriously – It won’t happen overnight

It is possible, but requires quite some work and time. You need one or more websites with alot of traffic.
Besides that, your Adsense income is never certain, you never know what next month will bring you. I would rather see it as a part of a diversifiated income (be it on the web, via your websites).
