I’m going to put up a web comic soon. But I’m in a dilemma on which is better? To set it up on a free hosting site to start with, or look for an affordable paid web hosting and start the comic from there?

Oh, and please give me the pros and cons between the two. Thanks in advance!

It is always better to buy Your own web host, but now question is how good you are, if you are really good then go for paid if not then just try first on free one and when you get good, just buy that server only

the difference is ads which will come on it, free will have lot of them on it paid won’t have any and other stuff like speed and how many email acct’s you have,
