Question by Sean: What is a Great Website to build & host a Clan website I am looking for a site that offers a great sitebuilder?
I am looking for a hosting Website that Has lots of Features & options in the site builder The website is a xbox live clan So please leave some links or site names of some sites Thanks in advance

“A great sitebuilder” and “great clan website” don’t go together. A great sitebuilder produces, at best, a boring site, the same as the sites that everyone using that site builder builds. (You can’t make an apple in a duck mold – it only turns out ducks.) If you want to make a great site, learn how to write a site.

You can just set up a Blogger account easily, then it will direct you to have an Adsense account and start to earn money. Here is the link: http://www.blogger.com/ . You will have a website in blog format with yourname.blogspot.com. Go to the link and set up a new account.

P.S: I suggest you to write qualified and original (not copied and pasted) posts to take more visitors to your site because earning money by the ads in your site is directly proportional with the number of your visitors.

do you need a domain first or hosting.. or. i’m kinda confused..

Yes. If you want to built your own independent website than you will need a domain name registered first (under your name preferably) and than web hosting.

Some hosts will do the whole process as one transaction ie. they let you choose and register the domain name and than offer you the hosting in the next step (or the other way around depending on webhost).

However if you only want any website and dont care about having it fully under your own domain (or are on short budget) than there is large number of providers and host who will give you some space for free and with domain such as YOURCHOSENWEBNAME.theprovidersname.com and similar.

Question by Scotty: If I buy a domain name from Yahoo can I then let my work to use it and build a website using the domain?
I found an awesome domain for an outreach project I’m doing for work, but I don’t know much about building websites. If I buy the domain, can our web design guy then build a website using it — or could it be a problem that it’s registered with Yahoo or in my name? (I know my work wouldn’t care that my name’s on it, I just mean from a technical perspective of getting it up and running)

Shouldnt be an issue, but it’s not very professional, i dont think the web designer would want to do that, but ultimately it is up to management.
