Question by csemahesh: Are buying a domain name and getting webhosting spaces different things?
I saw a site offering domain names for very cheap rates , is it enough if I buy those domain names alone to have my own site or do I need to get hosting also by paying extra money?

No, you need both. Many sites offer the domain name itself for .99 or less, but you still need a server to host it on. Unless you plan on leaving your personal computer on 24/7 and racking up huge bandwidth charges, you will need to rent the space from somewhere else. Generally it will cost you about 0 per year on top of buying the domain name.

Question by alan_champagne: I want a cheap service that allows me to change email addresses w/a different domain name every time-suggest?
I need to change my email address every couple of weeks. For example from alan@greatinvesting.com to alan@specialinvesting.com. A different domain name everytime. Then have all the emails sent to these addresses forwarded to me. I can not use yahoo, or hotmail or other freebie widely used email addresses, but I have to have a company name. Suggestions?

Check this: http://www.whoisguard.com/
http://superaff.com/archives/2005/10/09/namecheap-whois-guard-features/ – this site has the desription of an interesting feature which allows changing the mail addresses quite frequently when using the Whois-Guard service.

Note: I haven’t used this service myself yet, so I don’t know whether it meets all your requirements.

Question by adondo322: How do I get an EEP password to transfer my domain to a different registrar>?

Best answer:

Answer by Pete
Your question doesn’t make sense. If you want to transfer a domain you need the password that was set up when the domain was registered. This keep unscrupulous people from hijacking a domain. If you registered the domain and don’t remember the password, email the registrar or start a tech support ticket and they might be able to help by asking you for a password reminder or other information only the original registerer would know.

Question by lifeshaz: How can I assign an icon to my website if I’m registered my domain on GoDaddy & hosting on different service?
my domain is hosted on GoDaddy, and I’m hosting the website on different service. I’m forwarding the domain name to the address of the website.
Now I want to use a favicon on the website. I tried to put the icon on the root of the web hosting, but it didnt appear when I open the website from the domain name, it appears only if I opened it from the hosting link.

anyway to make it work without having to assign the icon with every single page?
Thank you

Organic search listings are the natural listings that occur from whan a search engine spiders your website. They are provided to users when a keyword is entered into a search engine. The listings are not paid, or they are the websites the search engine has determined to be the most accurate matches for the keywords entered. The goal of the search engines are to deliver the “most accurate” results for the search terms.

Organic SEO is optimization so that your website will occur in “natural” search engine listings. When a surfer types a keyword optimized and popular websites appear in the top listings. Organic listings are free. PPC listings are paid. :-)
