Question by Berto: how can i add ads to my website? i have free webhosting from microsoft office live small business?
my website address for now is http://bertobuay1.design.officelive.com/default.aspx for now i am still constructing it. i want to know how i could paste the codes on the website from example .. google ads and other paying ad companies?

First off, go ahead and buy a domain (around bucks). Making money on the internet is a lot of work, and you don’t want to spend all that time developing a website that you could lose control of.

The most important thing to focus on at this stage is creating some really fantastic content. Doesn’t matter what the niche is, but make something useful.

Once you have a steady amount of traffic (at least 100 unique visitors a day), think about adding advertising. AdSense is only profitable if you’re in a high paying niche. If your website is about knitting, it wouldn’t be the best option for you. Check out Project Wonderful (http://www.projectwonderful.com/) for another affiliate advertising option.

When your site has a substantial user base, you’ll be able to sell advertising directly. This is where you can start to make a salary from your website.

I have a company that i am starting and want to have a certain domain name. It is taken by this company called Field Lake and sky admin. I emailed the company and they wont even sell it to me. When I go to the website i want it is that cheap search engine crap. Is this illegal? and what can i do about it?

i would get a webpage host, godaddy, vistaprint, whatever and if the name is taken they approach the owner for you, and let you know if it was accepted or not, sometimes when a larger company approaches the owner they are more likely to sell than just from one person individually

I assume you need a transfer authorization key of some sort.
By law a provider is required to provide you with one if you request if of them.
It also maybe that your domain is “locked” in some sense with your provider, so it may be necessary to ask them to “unlock” it.

I had a web page and domain name on yahoo and used all their site building tools. After a while it got too expensive so I closed my account. I checked online and I STILL own the domain so I opened up a new account with JustHost and went to transfer the domain name to them but I can’t get access to my old domain!! Every time I click on it it says unknown address. HELP!!!
