Hey everyone, I need a free hosting site that allows me to upload my html pages. I am doing a course and I really need it for demonstartion purposes. I need something similar to google pages.

Question by Tri-State Pleasure Parties: What is the name of those websites/search pages that are up on what were once expired domain names?
I don’t know how to ask this question (wording). But maybe someone has an idea of what I’m talking about. You go to maybe a misspelled domain name or an expired domain name and it’s an annoying search/ad page. What are these pages called?

Parked Pages.

There are parking companies such as Sedo.com or Parked.com that build and host the page at no cost to the owner of the domain name.

Income is generated from the advertising links on the page and is split between the parking company and the domain name owner.

I want to create a website but most website building sites have a how limit to how many pages I will have I want to create a website with unlimited web space and unlimited pages. Kind of like myspace or youtube not with the same concept but with the same options of having millions of web-pages.

Go sign up for a domain name and hosting service like GoDaddy, BlueHost or DreamHost. For less than /mo you can get more than enough storage space for essentially “unlimited” pages. Then start coding up those HTML pages or install a content management package like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal. They’ll all let you create pages with text and embedded images, etc.

Question by romanticman: Will a Search Engine Optimization Specialist upload pages or do I pay my web designer to do it?
If I hire and SEO to tell me how my pages should change to rank higher, will he/she actually create those pages and then upload them or do they just make recommendations and then I have to have my web designer make the changes and upload the pages?

no a SEO only optimizes your pages to get higher rank. you have to pay the web designer to make the webpages, then the SEO will add extra coding that will compatibalize your webpage with serach engines in order to rank higher

Most modern search engines like Google completely ignore the keywords and descriptions you put in the header tags.

Engines like Google only focus on the page content, and they completely ignore any text that isn’t visible to the end user when the page is displayed to them. You get extra points if your page uses proper formatting with appropriate use of headers, bold words, standard text, images etc. The actual algorithm Google uses to determine Page Rank however is kept secret.

The most important tool for getting a first page listing on a search engine is getting as many quality / high PR ranking websites as you can to link to your page.
