Question by holacarinados: I bought a domain name and sold it for 15 times what I paid for it. Fluke?
I am pretty good with coming up with catchy titles. So for fun, I checked a list of for-sale domain names. Bought a cheap one, had an offer from someone who REALLY wanted it. Sold it for 15x the price. I didn’t ask why the person wanted it, but do you think this was just a fluke? I know there are all these sites that give suggestions on how to make a profit this way, but I see it more as an art form that can’t be taught. It doesn’t seem likely one can predict what domain name is going to just be the right one for a buyer. What do you think?

Question by Mohit: What are some major differences experienced when using free Sub Domain Hosting Vs Paid Hosting?
Which all Parameters should one consider when selecting a hosting Company, other than just cost

Best answer:

Answer by David M
Don’t use free services to set up your website. Free services offer a sub-domain, not a real domain name. This means your site address will be something like http://yoursite.freewebs.com, not www.yoursite.com. This way your website doesn’t look professional. On the other hand, there are some limitations with free web hosting services. In a word, if you want to have a serious presence on the web, you must pay for it. I recommend get a reliable company to do that in return for a few dollars.

Don’t trust dishonest claims like “Best web hosting only /month” or “Get the cheapest web hosting without sacrificing quality and features!!”. Take into consideration that some hosting companies are cheating and lying to their customers. It is very important that your service be uptime (functioning and available for use) . It means you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and users can enter your website whenever they refer to your site address. If your hosting service is not uptime it can be catastrophic.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at:

Only .95 /month (with discount coupon)

Yes, but most free hosting services put ads on the sides of your page, such as the yahoo geocities sites. You can put some AdSense ads up, but you will be competing with the hosting companies ads.
