Question by Eddy v: How do I get Google Adsense to post ads related to my site?
My blog, http://lazy-arse.blogspot.com, is running adsense, but all of the ads are irrelevant to the subject, Arsenal Football Club.

I know that google does have related ads, because on the BlogCatalog page for my site, http://www.blogcatalog.com/blogs/lazy-arse.html, the ads are all about Arsenal.

I’m not getting a good click-through rate because my ads are unrelated… how can I fix this?
Hmm… they edited a r s e to **** so just replace the ****s with the word a r s e (without the spaces of course) if you want to see the ads that are being displayed on either website.

I think you should bring out varieties in your posts that can attract few relevant ads.

Question by happy0bunny: What is the best website host for a family wanting to post pictures?
we want to be able to have a website where our friends can go and get pictures from random camping events that we have, instead of having to send them out all the time, I need it to either be free or cheap and have picture downlading like photobucket. also so it looks nice and not totallly blank.

Question by mgill5533: How much does it cost to buy a domain name, and where do you buy one, then how do post a website to it.?
Also, where do you make a website to post to it?

Best answer:

Answer by Admiral Ninja
There are lots of websites that sell domain names, usually at about 1.99 each. A popular one is godaddy.com, but you can just google “domain name” to find one. After you buy the name, go to a web hosting site (e.g. freewebs.com, ashevillemicro.com, etc.) and buy whichever package you want and add it to your domain name.

In AdSense, you can paste a snippet of HTML code around a particular area that you consider to be the most relevant.

There are lots of ways for adsense to be getting ads based off of your content, unfortunately, that also comes into play from what keywords people are bidding on through adwords.

The workaround is that you place this snippet of code:

These tags will mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you’d like to emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting.

The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:

You can also designate sections you’d like to have ignored by adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag:

With these tags added to your HTML code, your final code may look like the following:

This is the text of your webpage. Most of your content resides here.

With this code, you can either highlight or tell google to ignore certain areas of your blog. Remember, you’ll need to have a good amount of content highlighted to get the best ads.. but I think this will work for you.

Question by Julia: Will my Google adsense not be disabled if I post film stills on blog using the reason of fair use?
Please I need help from someone with thorough knowledge in Google AdSense policies.

I have a film review blog and I need to post film stills by using the ‘fair use’. By the way, the resolution or size is only 400×270.

Will it lead to disabling my AdSense account or not? Cuz I really care too much of my AdSense standings.

Best answer:

Answer by JIM
You should be worrying more about a movie studio seeing your blog as if you are habitually posting stills, your “fair use” doesn’t mean a lot. An ongoing film review item would not really be considered a Blog. You should get yourself a website
