Question by Survivor: When you register a domain name with a registrar what are the URL settings used for?
How and when should these settings be used?
Best answer:
Answer by Colinc
It is not much use having a domain name unless you have a web site. It is no good having a web site if nobody can find it. The url settings are to tell the registrars DNS servers where your web site is hosted. It will also need to know where your mail servers are.

Question by Badri: How to register a domain name at zero price?
Best answer:
Answer by kokopelli
Not gonna happen.
Free email and websites, maybe, because those can be loaded down with all sorts of spurious and obnoxious advertising that blinks at you and goes all over the place., but a name registration is not a thing that sits there and looks at you.

Question by Angela: What is the least expensive site to register a domain name?
Best answer:
Answer by Schneb
Lease expensive is not always the best. I use direct.nic because they have good tech support and very easy to choose a plan that suits what you need. Also the ability to create your email fowards is very easy.
