Once you register your name with someone, everyone domain selling site is notified. So you cannot register Example.com at Yahoo then register Example.com at GoDaddy.

Question by garden_ladybug2: How do i transfer a domain registered with godaddy to yahoo?

Best answer:

Answer by OPFlGuy
Just wondering why?
Are you looking to change the hosting? If that was the case you would just need to change your DNS servers at godaddy.

I use godaddy for all my domains but host with

http://www.3ix.org/sys/aff.php?aff=2699

I do this because Godaddy is fairly cheap in obtaining the domain BUT this hosting is as low as 1 dollar a month at the company that I use.

The benefit to actually moving a domain is to group all of your domains together to keep them with 1 comapny.

If this is the case for you then you would have to initate a domain transfer.
You would begin that here

Thanks and good luck..

Question by Richard: How do I transfer a domain if the Yahoo account it was registered under has been deleted?

Best answer:

Answer by misz cami
Contact the domain registrar directly by doing a whois on the domain url. If you can supply the appropriate billing and contact info you should be able to transfer or renew the domain.

If yahoo is the owner of the domain, then they likely will not sell it as it would be, or has been used for some purpose or database purposes. If your talking about a domain registered through yahoo small business, then it belongs to the registrant. If the domain is expired, then it likely returned to the ownership of MIT who is the registrar for Yahoo Small business. Be more specific with your questions, for more specific answers
