Question by Guy M: How do I remove my infomation from the ‘whois’ look up for my domain name?
When you go to a site like this: http://www.easywhois.com/ and enter my domain name a lot of info comes up e.g. my name, phone number, address etc. how do I stop this?

You can Private your WHOIS information. You would need to speak to your domain provider and they will be able to provide more information.

I signed up for 10gb free webhost and now I want to remove my account. I tries the remove account button several times and it said that they would send me an email withconfirmation but I recieved no email and my account was still there.Please help me get rid of my account!

It might be in the Spam folder, check that.
Also, you may have it registered under a different email, make sure you don’t and try again.

Question by Jolly: How can I remove my personal information from WHOIS if someone stole my credit card number to reg. a domain?
I noticed some shady charges on my credit card, and after much searching, found that someone used my CC number along with my real name and address to register a domain. The domain is being used to send out spam and maybe run some kind of overseas pharmacy scam.
The card has been cancelled and I have contacted the registrar in Australia to see if they can help me. Should I be doing anything else to get my name and address removed? I don’t want people to think that I am a scam artist. Now I’m so worried, I keep checking the WHOIS. When will it go away? Is there anything else I can do?
