There’s a hosting entity called freewebs.com; don’t know what are the current limitations for a completely free site. GoDaddy has some deals. The biggest problem you’d have is driving traffic to your site, and your site needs to be optimized for that. A lot of people are using Facebook and other social networking sites to post links, but they’re getting wise and clamping down (like here). If you don’t know how to do optimizing, you’d be better off just paying. It’s a LOT of work to maintain a site, advertise with various other related businesses, and deal with spam.

I want to buy domain in order to create my own website. I don’t would like taht my registered domain to be found for my friend through domain whois info.

In other words, is there any website that people input the name of individuals and find domain names registered by them?

If you’re worried about people finding your information using whois, there are certain registrars that offer a privacy protection program. They put the registrar’s contact information on the whois instead of yours, protecting your details.
