Question by Christine & Michael S: Best Web Host to sell Used Books?
I currently have a used bookstore on ebay and half.com and would like to branch out onto my own web site. I am looking for a web hosting service that will meet my needs. I use Auctiva for my book listings on ebay and like the search ISBN number. It will pull up the book along with description and photo. Is there a Host that offers that feature? I am also looking for an easy site to build. Any suggestions?

Question by Wotnot: I have bought a domain name on godaddy & want to sell it on ebay, how can I transfer it after payment?
I can deal with setting up the ebay aucion part because I’m an established ebay seller but don’t understand a) how you transfer the domain name to someone else {and look like I know what I’m doing at the same time!!!} b) how can I prove to the buyer that it is mine before he is willing to hand over the cash.

Give them all information to it, i.e. username/password and let them take over payments and you’re done. You don’t have to proove it to them on ebay, people will believe you if your seller rating is high. If it’s 0 then you’ll have problems though…

You can sell it on some domain auction market as GoDaddy domain auction.
After you get the payment, unlock your domain. The buyer should have their domain hosting company, they will do the “domain transferring” apply on their account request. Then, wait for you doing some steps of authorization code reply. After few days waiting confirm, the buyer will success to get your domain.

Question by sunnygurl21: Do I you need to have a domain name and website to sell Ebooks on E-junkie?
I want to sell Ebooks on E-junkie and was wondering for people who have experience selling on the site, was wondering if I need to register a domain name and have a website to sell on this site? Or do I just need to place ebooks to sell and that’s it?

They seem to offer all sort of services necessary, including hosting. Since it’s a pay/subscription site, I’d just pick up the phone and contact a customer service rep I am sure they’ll be more than happy to answer you, if that means they’ll be able to get your money.
Before you embark on this, make sure that you know the laws and commerce codes (including the need for commercial permits to sell anything) of your place of residence, or you could end up with a really nasty issue in terms of copyrights, fines and taxes. A blogger from Philadelphia was recently slammed with a 0 bill because she didn’t have a commercial permit (even though she was not really earning a dime, her site was deemed to have the “potential for earnings,” and the city requires permits for that). In other states, they even require a permit from seven year olds selling lemonade.
Good luck.
