Question by EveryWoman: Why is there such a huge difference in the price of internet domain registrations, between registrars?
Is there some variance in the degree of ownership one has of their domain, whether they buy from one company or another? I’m just trying to understand what constitutes or justifies the difference. -I have seen single domain registrations for as low as .95, to as high as (actually, sometimes higher).

Also, please share with me what domain registration sites, hosting sites, and web design sies and/or services you have had good experiences with.

I am about to build 3 pages, having never built a single one, before. So, I am a total newbie, know no html or other programming languages, and, at least one of my sites may need to be a portal (and, I am told, possibly php).

I welcome your suggestions.
Please be kind, and share your best.

Thank you.

Question by Positive Vibes: How do you hide your personal information on websites such as whois.net?
How can you do this, I find this very dangerous & pretty much out of order that your personal information (such as your address) can be accessed this easily.

What if your a celebrity & you own your domain name?

How can you make this private please?

Thanks

Hmmm. i think it’s pretty bad that.

You have companys & governments forever saying keep your personal information guarded & then you get domain names doing this.

Question by seven_70: Is there such thing as a free or very cheap private registration service for domain names?
Private registration costs too much if you want to apply privacy to a large portfolio of domain names. Is there a solution? The registrar that I use charges .95 a year per domain name. I have close to 200 domain names. It costs me a lot to renew my domain names already. I don’t want to be paying so much for privacy too.
By the way, I use GoDaddy, their private registration is too expensive. Sometimes they have deals, but not too often. Usually privacy will cost just as much as registering a new domain name. So, I’m ruling out GoDaddy for privacy.

000webhost.com would suite you best

I’m not sure about them allowing you to make money with ads, what i do know is that they won’t display any ads of them on your free site.

plus:
The hosting solutions are free, and when they say no catch, it really is. A 1500 MB of disk space and 100 GB bandwidth also comes along with the free package. They also have cPanel control panel which is amazing and easy to use website builder.
