I am starting a webcomic, and I want to know what web host (preferably free but doesn’t have to be) would be best to use for the graphics-heavy pictures I’d need to upload. Any webcomic authors out there with suggestions? Thanks.

Since you need to host large images in large quantities, I would strongly recommend iPage because their hosting plan supports unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth! I do not recommend any free web hosting. This is because free web hosting usually has a lot of limitations such as limited disk space, limited bandwidth and the server is not stable (lots of downtime).

Question by rupert: How to transfer old domain name onto new website?
Hi

There are two websites both live. Website A is 5 years old with poor content. Website B has great content,is 3 months old but ranks much higher. I would like to transfer the old site (A) name to the new site(B).

Q: How do I do this? How will this affect website B.

Any advice greatfully received. Thank you

I suppose you own both sites.
Well, you can just change the contents from the websites, or you have to contact whatever organization controls your website naming and tell them to redirect the old domain to the new IP address.
The organization will depend on country/name you already use.

Or you can simply change the old website to redirect to the new website, that can be achieved by a simple javascript redirect code.

You don’t build a site on a name. You can a purchase a name from several places on the net, and assign it to a web page on you host later.

Creating a website is not just a walk in the park. It costs money. You’re not going to get good bandwidth or a lot of memory without paying for anything. You’re not going to get a .com for free either.
