Question by Corey M: Where can I find a credible site to buy a web domain name without having to buy the actual web site?
Every place I go to, there’s something complicated that I don’t understand, and I NEED A WEB SITE, but first I just want the domain so that I can have my friend edit the site with whatever he’s using to edit. Plus, are there any webmasters out there (also credible, because I don’t want to have to take anyone to court over my Copyright) who can help me?

GODADDY.COM

I have 26 domains there. They are also one of the least expensive. You can search for coupons for godaddy before you go to their site and you will typically find 20% off or domains for .95 or so.

When you order with them they present you offers to build your site or host with them, you have no obligation. They have excellent customer service too.

Question by DarkDraco: Register domain name without “www”?
Is there a way I can register a domain name without the “www” in front?
I know that most of the domain registration services automatically puts the “www” in front so you don’t really have a choice. But would it be possible to ONLY register something like “example.com” and not “www.example.com”?

Thanks!

In case you are serious with this question, the domain you purchase is always sans “www” and is only the URL itself. Whether or not a “www” shows up in the browser window when you type it in is a server configuration issue (once you’ve purchased and host your domain). You can create canonical errors when your URL doesn’t work without the “www” so it must be configured properly. There are also implications for search engine optimization (SEO) when not configured properly.

Question by manoftrust72: Is there anyway I can make money by selling things online without getting caught by the IRS?
What would be the only way I can sell and make money online without getting caught by the IRS?

Best answer:

Answer by Lexie
Make a website on Piczo, and don’t sell more then like 0 (I think it’s that) a month or year. Sorry I’m not sure what the limit is. But on Piczo, there is a PayPal “Buy It Now” button where people can pay for any items you are willing to sell(:

Question by Nothing’s Forever: How do you register a .com domain without having your details on whois.net?
If you register a .com or .co.uk domain name in the UK, your details (according to internet laws) are automatically registered with whois.net. That is, the name of the person who owns the site, and their address.

How can I get around this? Because I don’t want any Tom , Dick etc, on the internet knowing that I own a particular site, and as well as my address!
