Question by Scotty: If I buy a domain name from Yahoo can I then let my work to use it and build a website using the domain?
I found an awesome domain for an outreach project I’m doing for work, but I don’t know much about building websites. If I buy the domain, can our web design guy then build a website using it — or could it be a problem that it’s registered with Yahoo or in my name? (I know my work wouldn’t care that my name’s on it, I just mean from a technical perspective of getting it up and running)

Shouldnt be an issue, but it’s not very professional, i dont think the web designer would want to do that, but ultimately it is up to management.

If you are using ASP with .mdb database, try out the site: http://www.1asphost.com/

You have to upload your database to the server also. make sure your connection to database is correct. You should check with the hosting site, how you should connect to the database

honestly hosting your own is often a good idea apache is a free webserver free dns is exatly what it sounds like you can host your own pages so all you need to pay for is your computer which sense your on yahoo answers i know you have and internet which is also a given.
