Question by Scotty: How do you transfer ownership of a domain name from yourself to someone else?
I want to register a domain name for my work to use … it’s good so I want to do it before anyone else takes it. But, if then I want to transfer it to my company, how hard would that be?

Hi Scotty,
Go ahead and register the domain. When you are ready to transfer just contact your registar and tell then you want to make the transfer.
We have transferred several over the years. It is quick & easy.

Question by Jena: Can you buy a domain name and design the web page yourself without having to pay for professional help?
I’m heading a non-profit group and we want to build a website but have limited funds. We have a professional photographer in our club that runs his own page, so is it possible to just buy the domain name and do it ourselves?

Yes, but you’ll need a basic knowledge of HTML or some other web coding to create one. Draac.com or lissaexplains.com teaches things like this for beginners in web coding.
Or, you can go to a site like freewebs.com, which provides templates to choose from, and you can work off of those.
Good luck!
